Pre-wedding photography at Halifax Ogden water country park
With some many wedding photography consultations taking place online over the last couple of years, it’s extra nice to meet up with my couples ahead of their weddings and actually speaking with them face to face. We’re all sick of video calls aren’t we! I met Andy and Rachel for a little engagement photography session at Ogden Water Country Park, just outside Halifax. I was under the impression that Ogden Water was just a reservoir until I did a recce recently. We took a route off the beaten track, which was very pretty and peaceful and I got some lovely photos of these two. Andy wasn’t particularly looking forward to their engagement photo shoot (as most grooms to be aren’t) but he left saying it was really beneficial and they felt much more relaxed for their wedding now. This is the very reason I offer engagement photo shoots, and obviously you get some lovely photos too. I’m already looking forward to seeing Andy and Rachel again for their May wedding at The Stables Wedding Farm in Saddlworth. I’ve got my fingers crossed for an outdoor wedding. It’s going to be a good one!
