Summer in Yorkshire this wedding season might not be shaping up too good, but we had some lovely sunny days in May. Chris and Carly's wedding day happened to be one of them. (see their sunny engagement photo shoot in Ilkley here)
I arrived at The Best Western Rombalds Hotel in Ilkley for bridal preparation. The bridal suite was packed with bridesmaids and flowers girls while that butterflies in the tummy feeling and excitement built.
Carly was such a beautiful smiley bride, here are a few of my favourites that tell their story.
The girls traveled in style to the ceremony at St Peter Church in Addingham. I rushed ahead of Carly to meet Chris and their wedding guests.
Little Phoebe wasn't a massive fan of the camera which required me to slip into stealthy mode.
I have to say, Chris and Carly's friends and family were so welcoming and lovely people to be around. The day was made even more perfect for Carly and Chris with such brilliant people surrounding them.
Golden hour is my favourite time for couple portraits. The light is soft, beautiful and golden. We headed towards Ilkley tarn for a few photos before the evening guests arrived. Carly and Chris mentioned they wanted portrait photos on the moors at our first meeting. I love a couple that see the importance and make time for a few relaxed photos together. It’s also a great time to slip away from the guests and have some time alone. Wedding photography on Ilkley moor never fails to impress.
