For brides and grooms up and down the country, covid-19 has played havoc with their plans. Most have postponed or had to cancel their weddings. Every couple has had no choice but to adapt.
Natalie and Matt booked their wedding at the start of 2019 and they are determined to get wed no matter what size, shape and form their wedding will come in. They have kept their hopes high that it would be able to go ahead this weekend and I am so happy it can! It’ll be my first time shooting at the Shireburn Arms in Clitheroe before we move onto the Coniston Hotel in Skipton.
I met up with Natalie and Matt a few months ago for their pre-wedding photo shoot. They wanted a golden hour engagement photo shoot, but every evening we planned it, the weather didn’t play ball. As I checked the forecast for the 100th time and drove toward Cowling Pinnacle, I was certain we were finally onto a winner. But you guessed it….it clouded over and became dull. It honestly didn’t matter though. These two was all that was needed to be in front of my camera and we had a lot of fun before watching the sunset.

I can not wait for the weekend. Finally I have something to look forward to and I really hope Matt and Natalie are feeling all the pre wedding excitement that every couple feels despite their stressful run up and restrictions. I know they are disappointed that they can’t have the guests they’d love to share their day with, but they are wonderfully positive that it will be a special intimate wedding. The pandemic can’t stop them celebrating their love.
