Golden hour pre-wedding photography at cowing pinnacle
Gabby and Luke booked me as their wedding photographer a couple of years back, so it was great to meet up ahead of their wedding for some engagement photos (well, pre-wedding photos) and a chat about their upcoming spring wedding in Skipton. They bought little Charlie to join in too.
North Yorkshire wedding photography
I‘m really looking forward to Gabby and Luke’s church wedding in North Yorkshire. Their chosen church is one of my favourites that I’ve shot at a few times. Their wedding celebrations will be taking place at Utopia at Broughton Hall in Skipton.
Golden hour engagement photos
Golden hour is usually 1 hour after sunrise or 1 hour before sunset. It what us wedding photographers refer to as magic hour, because the light is so warm and has a pretty hue. It really does add a little extra magic to photos. It can be tricky to arranged a golden hour photoshoot as the British weather doesn’t always offer sunny evening, but these guys were great at re-arranging and it really paid off.
Engagement photography at Cowling Pinnacle, North Yorkshire
Cowling Pinnacle (also known as the salt and pepper pots, but real name, Wainman's Pinnacle) is my go to location for golden hour photography. The views are amazing from the moors and the pinnacle itself is an interesting feature. I can see the pinnacle from my house and know it’s an excellent spot for sunset. Golden hour photography is great for landscapes as well as portrait photography and this area offer a great landscape that is great to incorporate into engagement photos. It’s a popular location for dog walkers, runners or sunset seekers too.
