Booking wedding suppliers throughout the pandemic meant meetings had to take place on zoom or on the phone. This was the case for me when Ben and Aniella enquired about wedding photography with me, so it was so lovely to finally meet them in person. We headed to Ilkley Moor for some pre-wedding photos ahead of their wedding at the Timble Inn near Harrogate. I definitely don’t shoot enough engagement photoshoots on Ilkley Moor. It is so beautiful. It’s no wonder the moors are forever popular with locals, walker and abseilers around the cow and calf area. I love meeting a couple prior to their wedding. It gives me a feel for what they’re like in front of the camera and really helps me gasp their personalities. After all, I want my work to reflect who they are. Ben and Aniella were great in front of the camera. They were very relaxed and chatty which allowed for some lovely natural engagement photos. They’ve been super busy with planning their wedding at Timble and with a house move so they enjoyed this time out taking in the scenery at Ilkley Moor.
I’m very much looking forward to their wedding day. Their ceremony will be held at St Peter’s and Paul’s church in Yeadon before heading to the Timble Inn….I can’t even remember the last time I was in a church.
