Summer wedding at Burtonfields Hall in York
When Lucy and Will booked me as their wedding photographer, I was thrilled to hear they’d chosen a relatively new York wedding venue, so this would be my first time photographing a wedding at Burtonfields Hall.
Burtonfields Hall is a charming 19th-century house that has been wonderfully transformed into a stunning luxury wedding venue. Boasting 8 elegantly appointed stately bedrooms to accommodate wedding guests, it also features a captivating old billiard room adding character, all overlooking the grand south-facing terrace to acres of land.
I began capturing Lucy and Will wedding day in the morning during at bridal preparation.
Both Lucy and Will appeared remarkably composed as they made their way to the wedding ceremony. It felt like they were both 100% ready to make it offical.
The orchestra filled the air with enchanting melodies as they played in the old billiard room, setting a captivating ambiance as the ceremony commenced.
The rear of Burtonfrields Hall is the perfect spot for this summer wedding. The lush greenery provide an enchanting atmosphere for the happy couple to celebrate with their loved ones. I have to say, it’s a bit of a photographers dream too. There are some many option for photos. I love the flowered entrance at the front.

The wedding breakfast and speeches commenced in the billiard room, creating a cozy and intimate setting for the guests. I was delighted when Will's mum took the floor to deliver a heartfelt speech, adding a personal touch to the celebration. This moment reinforced my belief that weddings should embrace modern values and not feel confined by traditional gender roles.
As the sun begins to set, the soft glow added a touch of magic to the occasion, making this outdoor setting truly unforgettable for all in attendance.
