Wedding Photography at the Devonshire Fell in Burnsall
Maria and Paul planned a very intimate wedding ceremony, with just six close wedding guests attending at the Devonshire Fell Hotel, nestled in the stunning surroundings of Burnsall, North Yorkshire. I truly enjoy photographing weddings at the Devonshire Fell, as the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. Additionally, the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, which adds to the overall experience. I particularly love taking the couple to the picturesque bridge for some stunning photos against the breathtaking backdrop of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.
Here are the highlights from their wedding ceremony at the Devonshire Fell Hotel
The day began with bridal preparation with Maria’s mum and both their dogs. It was very quiet and calm, but all that was about to change.
Paul had thoughtfully arranged for Maria’s sisters to be surprise guests at the wedding. He knew how much it would mean to Maria to have them by her side on such a momentous occasion. I absolutely loved capturing her genuine reaction in that heartfelt moment and witnessing the pure joy that radiated from her as they arrived at the bridal suite, creating an unforgettable memory for everyone involved.
Paul yet again pulled yet another delightful surprise out of the bag, sending up a bottle of champagne, and he further impressed Maria by gifting her with a stunningly gorgeous watch.
First look moments are truly among my favorite things to photograph during a wedding. Many photographers tend to impose themselves on this intimate moment, but I prefer to take a step back and capture the genuine reactions. These moments were incredibly sweet, especially seeing Maria’s parents as they laid eyes on her wearing her beautiful dress for the first time. Additionally, it was such a touching surprise for Maria to reveal that she was using her mother’s veil, adding a sentimental layer to the occasion that made it all the more special.
I had such a lovely time photographing Maria and Paul’s beautiful wedding day. They were incredibly laid back, and their family was so warm and welcoming, making the entire atmosphere feel so inviting. The great thing is that I got to see them all again at the massive party that Paul and Maria were throwing for their wedding reception!
Thank you for having me. Too be continued…
