As always my day started with the ladies at the Coniston Hotel. A 1,400-acre estate on the outskirts of the market town, Skipton in North Yorkshire. The girls were up super early and everything was running smoothly and ahead of schedule. Kerry is the most thoughtful bride, with all her gifts for her bridal crew and suppliers (thank you, Kerry) How cute are the two flower girls by the way! I love the photos of them receiving their gifts. Before James headed to the ceremony room, I asked him to step out onto the balcony with Kerry safely out of view below, for a cute photo. They couldn’t see each other but it must have been so tempting to try and steal a peek.

Even though it was a cold November day, the light-flooded into the ceremony room as Kerry and James tired the knot. And when the weather gives you such beautiful light, you use it for bride and groom portraits. The Lake in The Coniston Hotel estate makes for the perfect backdrop, as we discovered during James and Kerrie’s golden hour engagement photoshoot (see it here) We headed down for James and Kerry to grab a breather and take in the wonderful Yorkshire dales views while having a few photos taken.

Kerry and James are such a lovely, generous couple. They balance each other out and fit together perfectly. And I’m lucky enough to call them my friends.
