East Riddlesden Hall Wedding photography
I was very excited to photograph Chris and Siobhan's wedding at East Riddlesden Hall. From chatting with them during their engagement shoot, I knew it was going to be wonderful. (See their engagement shoot here) I had a feeling that Siobhan had an eye for everything beautiful. I was right, just take a look.
The forecast for this summer wedding was the opposite of what you'd expect. Rain, rain and more rain. Dull and dreary was the weather, when I met the girls at The Yorkshire Hotel in Harrogate, their mood was anything but.
Nearing the end of bridal prep, it all became real. I usually find the atmosphere changes around the time the bride puts on her dress. It was no different for Siobhan. The flood gates opened and the emotion spilled out.
Chris attending St John's Fishers high school in Harrogate, which meant he were allowed marry in the beautiful church on site. How lovely that Chris has returned to mark another important milestone in his life, and this time with his stunning bride.
The barn at East Riddlesden Hall was jaw-droppingly beautiful. Styled by Simply Vintage Events and covered in flowers by Stem Design. it was full of gorgeous detail that made the barn look absolutely magical.
This wedding was certainly an emotional roll coaster ride.. The speeches was full or laughter, embarrassing stories, tears and happy memories. This is the reason I love my job so much. Everyone was so in the moment, living this precious day with the couple. It sounds cheesy, but you could truly feel the love in the room.
I'm so happy Chris and Siobhan didn't let the rain put a dampener on the photo opportunities. We popped out in between drizzle and downpours for some lovely photos.
I remember Siobhan saying, her family know how to bust a move. This might have been the most enthusiastic dance floor I've ever seen, which made it difficult to leave the party. And one hell of a party it was.
Chris and Siobhan, thank you so much for having me along to capture your day. It was amazing. It was beautiful. It was emotional and it was so much fun!
