Why you should book an engagement shoot
If your wedding photographer offers an engagement shoot or a pre wedding photo shoot, definitely take it. Mine offer is included in my main wedding photography packages; other photographers will offer this as a separate payment. Either way it is well worth taking. If you are a little camera shy, think you don’t take a nice photos or just absolutely hate having your photo taken, then this shoot is for you. My aim isn’t just to take some nice photos of you, it’s mainly to make you feel at ease in front of the camera and in front of me. It so much nicer to get to know each other before your big day and know what to expect.
Stacey and Daniel live in Selby, but getting married at the Coniston Hotel in Skipton. They decided on Lothersdale in North Yorkshire for their engagement photo shoot. This is where Daniel grew up so there was a strong connection to the village. Their son joined them for this engagement session, and he was great in front of the camera. So was Dan and Stacey although somewhat camera shy. Lothersdale Park and is definitely worth a visit if you want to entertain the kids. It also has a woodland walk and picnic area which we made use of during the photo shoot. Shade was definitely needed as it was a blazing hot day, I’m guessing a contrast to their wedding day in October at the Coniston hotel.
