Wedding photography at Hollis Hall Country Club
Hollins Hall Hotel and Country Club near Baildon and Shipley in West Yorkshire is Victorian country house hotel on 200 ache land overlooking the countryside views of the Aire Valley. It is the prefect west Yorkshire wedding venue for wedding photography. It is here Lucy and Ashley celebrated their summer wedding.
I arrived to Hollins Hall in the morning where bridal preparation was in full swing. The room was full and buzzing. It was lovely to see Lucy again after their earlier engagement photo shoot, but really I kind of felt like a guest not the wedding photographer. Why? Because they were quite a few familiar faces from when I provided wedding photography for maid of honour, Vicki back in 2017 see here. They are such a lovely group of friends that are too dissimilar from my own. It’s wasn’t just the bridesmaids, but suppliers too. Helen from the flower shop in Keighley was supplying beautiful wedding flowers and Helen Armstrong doing her thing with bridal make up, both excellent wedding suppliers I’ve worked with a few times.

Lucy and Ashley wanted a church wedding and chose St James Church in Bradford for their wedding ceremony. Ashley awaited his bride visibly nervous. Their daughters made the prefect flowers girls and looked adorable walking down the aisle ahead of their mum.
It was then time to celebrate the newly weds back at Hollins Hall Hotel. Now I mentioned that this West Yorkshire wedding venue is prefect for wedding photography given it vast grounds. Unfortunately we didn’t explore them too much as the rain was quite persistent throughout the day. I was still able to capture some perfect bride and groom portraits and it suited Lucy and Ashley to grab just a few and get back to enjoying their day with their guests.
