On a beautiful day in the Yorkshire Dales I drove to Hawes to photograph a family reunion and a 70th birthday party. It was a special birthday for Steve, celebrating with his family in the sun with a BBQ and wine. The weather couldn’t have been better as they all got together after some time apart due to pandemic. It’s so lovely to photograph family events again.
If the kids won’t stand still for photos, or you don’t particularly like being in front of the camera or posing, then a lifestyle family photo shoot; much like this one might be for you. I am Skipton family and wedding photographer, but travel North and West Yorkshire for family photo shoots. The Yorkshire Dales is often my favourite location as it’s pretty impossible to find a pretty backdrop. A photo shoot is all about capturing memories, to look back and smile at these moments spent together. To photograph the family bonds and tell a story. I had a lot of fun photographing this family event.
