Engagement photography at the Otley Chevin
Imagine standing on the edge of a rock face with panoramic view stretching out before you. This is the magic of Otley Chevin. From the stunning views at Surprise View and the viewpoint above Gill Beck, you can catch a glimpse of rolling hills, lush green valleys, and the charming market town of Otley itself. It is here, that I met Ryan and Laura for their engagement photo session.
Laura and Ryan are getting married at the Chevin country park hotel, so it made sense to meet at the Otley Chevin for their engagement photo session. They were both keen on the idea of golden hour photos and Surprise View at Otley Chevin offers a great location for this. We got lucky and picked a beautiful warm sunny day in April, little did any of us realise how cold it would get up there just before sundown. Can you even tell it turned super windy and cold? Nah because these two completely nailed it.
Ryan and Laura are one of those couple that ‘just knew’ when they met. They became closer and closer doing the things they enjoy like going to gigs and festivals. Ryan proposed on Laura’s 26th birthday in front friends. I’m really looking forward to photographing their wedding at the Otley Chevin Country hotel. They’re a super relaxed, laid back and fun couple and I’m sure they’re wedding will reflect this. I’m secretly hoping for my first wedding mosh pit to photograph at the wedding reception.

The Chevin Forest Park Visitor Centre offers a fascinating insight into the area's heritage and geological significance, as well as the Chevin Rocks – a collection of ancient stones that stand as a testament to the region's past.
