Skipton Wedding Photography - Mille & Tom

Skipton registry office wedding photography

I don’t think Millie or Tom will mind me saying that their wedding was definitely more on the unconventional side. During their engagement photoshoot, they mentioned to me that they didn’t have a specific theme for their big day. However, in my opinion, that isn’t entirely true. Their theme was essentially them—an authentic reflection of their personalities and relationship. I think they may be a little unaware of just how much they were able to infuse their unique style into the entire day, from Millie’s wonderfully stylish jumpsuit complete with a playful feather trim and her distinctive white Doc Martens to Tom’s equally funky shoes that certainly stood out. I absolutely love that Millie chose to walk down the aisle to a beloved song of theirs by My Chemical Romance. I’m willing to bet that this might have been the very first time an emo tune has been blasted out in the Skipton Registry Office for a wedding ceremony.

Here are the highlights from their Skipton Wedding

Did you spot Millie’s custom made leather jacket!

Millie was a very chilled-out bride, radiating calm and tranquility, while Tom was showing a few signs of nerves as the big moment approached. I always think it’s common for the groom to feel a wave of anxiety just before the wedding ceremony begins. Thankfully, the lovely registars’s from Skipton Registry Office helped put him at ease, and his smile said it all once Millie walked down the aisle.

After their wedding ceremony, we made our way to the park in Skipton for a few cherished photographs. The day was enhanced by the stunning autumn sunshine. It was the kind of day where the sun is warm on your face, but the shade is cold your back.

After a few photos everyone headed across the border to the Alma Inn in Laneshawbridge. There the celebrations continue with tasty cocktails, a heartwarming speech from the groom and the wedding breakfast.

Due to circumstances not under Mille and Tom’s control, they were forced to rebook their wedding reception. They had envisioned a vibrant festival-themed wedding party, heavily centered around music. After careful consideration, they took the decision to split their special day and thoughtfully celebrate next year so they can celebrate their way. I can’t wait to see how this all unfolds! I love originality and I know Mille and Tom will put their unique stamp on the wedding party.

Say yes to unconventional quirky weddings!
