I met Millie and Tom just one hour before sunset for a golden hour engagement photo session. During this time, the light becomes soft, golden, and incredibly pretty, creating the perfect colours for photographs.

The day began with bridal preparation with Maria’s mum and both their dogs at the Devonshire Fell in Burnsall. It was very quiet and calm, but all that was about to change.

When Lucy and Will booked me as their wedding photographer, I was thrilled to hear they’d chosen a relatively new York wedding venue, so this would be my first time photographing a wedding at Burtonfields Hall in York.

A highlight for me was creating the champagne spray photos, even though Andy did soak us in the process. Nestled amidst the breath-taking beauty of the Yorkshire Dales stands the Priests House at Barden Tower, a place where the echoes of the past whisper through its ancient stone walls. It is not difficult to understand why guests fell in love with this Skipton wedding venue.

In my 10 years of photographing weddings, I have never seen it rain for the full day without a break like this day, but Jack and Amelia did not let it faze them one bit.
